Step 1: Registration

Before accessing Live auction you must create an account to https://motobenz.com

Step 2: Bidding Deposit

Auction houses require a refundable security deposit to ensure serious bidding. The deposit amount scales with the value of the car you intend to buy.

  • BDT. 2 Lacks for bidding upto 25  lacks
  • BDT. 3 lacks for bidding upto 50 lacks
  • BDT. 5 lacs for bididng upto 1 crore

In case you are unable to make a successful bid the security deposit is refundable, it will be refunded after deducting service charge of BDT. 25,000.00

Step 3: Research & Inspection

  • Review Catalogs: Auction houses publish inventories online. Look for condition reports, auction sheets, and mileage.
  • Physical Inspection: If available locally, visit the auction lot to examine the exterior, interior, and engine.
  • Bidder Assistance: If you have not enough knowledge about bidding you can get help or assitance form our bidding experties.

Step 4: Set A Budget

Factor in the vehicle's market value, the auction house’s buyer’s premium (typically 5%–10% of the bid), and potential transport or import costs.

  • You need to analyze the auctioned price of the exact model of car you are bidding on.
  • Get an idea of the value from cars that are being sold at fixed prices
  • When bidding, you must know the current customs duty on specific car

Step 5: Bidding Rules

  • All bid information must be completed by 11.30pm. No further requests will be accepted after that time
  • Bid price can only be changed two hour prior to bidding time.
  • All bid price are maximum prices but for small unit we can add 10,000 yens and on big units 20,000 depending upon relationship and understanding with our respected client.

Step 6: Start Bidding

You are now ready to start the bidding process. As our registered member, you will place the bid on our website and our agents will bid on behalf of you during the live auction process. At motobenz.com, you will only have to pay for the successful bids.

Step 7: Auction Result

You will be notified of the bidding result through motobenz.com website besides our agent will be in touch with you over phone.

Step 8: Payment Terms

  • After winning the auction, you will have to pay the total auction price of the vehicle along with freight and shipping charges in full to open the LC before shipping.

  • If buyers are willing to pay the total LC amount, Motobenz ltd Charges only BDT 100,000.00 as service charges for import formalities, bidding and delivery process.  

If buyers paid only booking money, Motobenz Ltd takes service charge for import formalities and delivery process as below:

  1. Taka 1 Lakh for a cars worth upto 20 Lakhs
  2. Taka 1.5 Lakhs for a car upto 30 Lakhs
  3. Taka 2 Lakhs Taka for a cars upto 40 Lakhs
  4. Taka 2.5 Lakhs for a cars upto 50 Lakhs and so on.
  • If buyer fails to make the payment by 7 days from the auction win date, the car will be re-auctioned. Initial deposit will be deducted as penalty.
  • If buyer wants to keep the car in Japan yard for a specific period of time, yard fees has to be paid by the customer which is USD200-USD 300 per month.
  • Due to current fluctuating Yen to Dollar and Dollar to Taka rate customer should discuss before each auction regarding Yen rate, shipping charge in Japan, Dollar to Taka conversion rate. These rates are always variable and will be charged at actual depending on the payment date.
  • Once car reached at Bangladesh port, customer will pay the  customs duty for releasing the car. Customer will pay the customs tax VAT and others at actual basis. If the tax increase customer will bear the increased amount, if decrease we will refund. 
  • If the payment is delayed, wharf rent (port charge) will be paid by buyer @ 450-1000 Taka per day.
  • If this car financed by bank or higher purchased buyers will pay only down payment, registration and insurance cost
  • 100% payment to be made before registration.

Step 9: Cost Calculation

Following charges will be added with the Auction Winning Price.

  • SHIPPING COST:  Starts from 2000USD 4000USD. This cost depends on the vehicle model and size. 
  • BIDDING & IMPORT SERVICE CHARGE
  • BANKING EXPENDITURE FOR LC 
  • MARINE INSURANCE 
  • INLAND TRANSPORTATION COST 
  • C&F COST
  • CUSTOMS IMPORT DUTY

Step 10: Delivery & Shipment

  • The car will be delivered to the buyer from our Dhaka Office as it is auction sheet condition.
  • If buyer wants , he/she can receive the car from Chittagong / Mongla Port.
  • Car will be delivered with 1 servicing (Engine oil change, Air filter and Air filter change.
  • If tyre condition comes with bad condition customer will change it with his/her expenses either with reconditioned / brand new tyres.  
  • Alloy rims will be as it is which comes with the car. If customer wants to change it, he/she has to pay for the additional cost.
  • Extra remote key and SD card if comes with car will be given to customers. If doesn't come with the car we can arrange upon payment.
  • If there is any dent/paint work, customer has to bear the cost.
  • Any kind of aftermarket modification, customer has to bear the cost.

    Usually it takes 50-60 days to get the car in Bangladesh from the auction win date. Once the car is on boarded into the ship, Motobenz Ltd. is not liable for any kind of delay for the shipping lines. 

Step 11: Refund & Penalty Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policy for PRE ORDER / AUCTION BIDDING Cars:

  • If the order is canceled after auction winning, initial deposit will be deducted as penalty. 
  • If the order is canceled after the car reached at port  or during the shipment or the full payment is not made within 15 days of the car arrival in Bangladesh port, initial deposit will be deducted as penalty. 
  • After deducting the  initial deposit from the booking money, rest of the amount will be refunded to buyer by account payee cheque or online fund transfer.
  • If buyer's desired car is not available in auction / unsuccessful bids (not yet purchased from auction); in this case we will refund of full booking money/initial deposit.
